Researching and Analysing Intelligence Systems

Researching and analysing intelligence systems is a stage within an  investigation process, it involves the police force identifying if there are any current crime trends, and if there is who is committing them and does that individual have a motive.  The crime trends they will be analysing will be to do with the case they are investigating, as any information that may arise from this stage could potentially give the police a new line of enquiry.

For example if a child goes missing within particular area intelligence are able to identify the number of abductions or attempted abductions within that area. Therefore from this information that they have gathered may help them identify any key data such as is there a car that’s been reported numerous times due to suspicious circumstances.
